About Fab Lab Bali
Founded in 2012, Fab Lab Bali is the first Fab Lab in Southeast Asia and one of the most active in the global Fab Lab network. We are a fully equipped digital fabrication laboratory offering laser cutting, 3D printing, CNC milling, electronics prototyping, and much more.
What We Offer
Maker Education
Year-round training programs from introductory workshops to the globally certified Fab Academy — a six-month intensive digital fabrication program taught at MIT and 150+ Fab Labs worldwide.
Open Lab Days
Weekly open studio sessions for community members, students, and professionals to use our equipment, get support, and connect with fellow makers.
Research & Development
Collaborative R&D with industry partners, universities, and NGOs on locally relevant design challenges — from biocomposite materials to affordable construction systems.
Community Projects
Maker education initiatives with local schools, artisans, and community groups — developing skills and creating economic opportunities through design and fabrication.

Our lab is equipped with industry-standard digital fabrication tools:
- Laser Cutters — for precision cutting of wood, acrylic, fabric, and more
- 3D Printers — FDM and resin printing for rapid prototyping
- CNC Router — large-format milling for furniture, architecture, and signage
- Vinyl Cutters — for stickers, heat transfer, and sign-making
- Electronics Lab — PCB fabrication, soldering, and microcontroller programming
- Sewing & Textiles — embroidery machines and material experiments

As an official Fab Lab, we're part of a global network of 2,000+ labs sharing knowledge, tools, and projects. We host researchers and makers from around the world and connect Balinese makers to international opportunities.
